20 ideas for repurposing doors

I have gathered another collection of great projects from My Repurposed Life. This is a collection of repurposed door projects—regular doors, hollow core doors, and cupboard doors.

If you have some extra doors laying around, you might find something here to inspire you. Maybe you’re familiar with some of the later projects, but there are some oldies but goodies here too!

  9. I have only just recently found your excellent blog and am already obsessed!!

You are so clever and creative. Thanks for sharing your ideas.

May I ask- have you done any courses or what have you in carpentry or DIY etc? Or do you just learn as you go?
As someone just starting out in re-purposing what are the basic tools you suggest one might start with?

    • Shannon–I have been a learn as I go DIY’er. I think one of the first power tools should be a drill. The first saw I suggest you get would be a compound miter saw. Here in the states, our lumber companies will cut larger pieces of lumber down for us, making the table saw #2 on my list for large saws.
A nail gun is a handy tool to make building simple and easy. However, a Kreg Jig Jr is what really made my building so much faster and easier. You can search my blog for any of the above to see how I use them.
You can check out my page “favorite products” to see what I use most often. http://www.myrepurposedlife.net/p/my-favorite-products.html
      thanks and Welcome to MRL!

  10. An old door is a sturdy piece of material that can easily be revamped into pretty much anything just like what you did on this project.

  11. For two months I moved a chair around in my dysfunctional home. Then the dam broke and all was clear… I must do what works for me. I began to recreate. My rooms began to function as I let myself be me in the now.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me! I read and appreciate every word!
