Chalkboard Stand from Foot Board

bunk bedI had this bunk bed

foot-board-cut-offI used the headboard and the bottom half of the foot board for the Naval bench.

scrap-lumber-routeredI cut some scraps and used a router on them.

diy-chalky-paint-primerI attached the squares with a nail gun and some Gorilla Wood Glue.

chalkboard-stand-foot-boardI used some DIY Chalky paint as primer on the entire piece.  You can see the headboard bench with storage shelf here in the background.

happily-ever-after-starts-todayThis sign is double-sided.  One side is a chalkboard, a temporary sign for a wedding centerpiece .  .  .

repurposed-foot-board-wedding-sign . . . the other side is perfect for a vinyl saying, a more permanent reminder of the special day.

I think it would look great with ribbons and such, but you know I don’t have a knack for that.  Smile

This was a fun and easy project using scraps from another project.
