When I did my “Inquiring Minds Want To Know” post, one survey response was this:
I really like your furniture repurposing posts. Maybe you could do a post where you give the specifics (as in time frames) for how long it takes you to go from purchase to sale with an item detailing exactly how much time you put into your work.
When I started putting this post together, I wondered why it took me so long to build this bench. I decided to look at my photos in chronological order to see what else I worked on during this time.

I don’t want you to think all work and no play makes gail a dull girl…
Cousin Terry and I went on a jeep ride one evening to a local park to take in some of the scenery.
From one of the several lookouts.
There you have it. That’s how I spend my days when the weather is cool and I can work, work, work.

ps just a little note to tell you that I wrote this post a week ago. As I was tweaking it on Tuesday night around 10:30, I LOST it. I had to re-write the entire post. It was after 1am when I finished. hmph!
Let no one ever say you don’t work all day long! You get a lot done. 🙂
OMG I can’t believe how much you can accomplish! U R my new hero 🙂
lol! You are one driven woman!!! Thanks for the run-down, I have some days like these myself… 🙂
Your day(s) look like mine and my hubby wonders why I don’t get anything done! LOL
And… I HATE it when the posts disappear! Just like the one I had written on my bench cushion it only posted about the first 1/3 of it. (Thanx again for the alert!)
Whew, I am exhausted just reading it. I gotta take a nap! Now I know why my projects don’t turn out like yours~~~apparently, I am lazy to the bone!
Good gracious…I’m exhausted just trying to follow in your tracks!!!
No wonder your arm hurts like it’s about to fall off! No rest for the Re-puposer!!!!
Still love the orange and purple lawn chairs!!!
That isn’t the only thing in this post, that I love. But those ARE FANTASTIC FOR LEAST AMOUNT OF MONEY AND EFFORT…right?
Pat
You are my kinda gal! LOL I have extreme project ADD and tend to have my fingers in many projects at one time…thanks for sharing a glimpse into your daily grind!
LOL Gail! My day is very much the same, moving through a few projects, waiting for glue or paint to dry, designing something else, etc. BUT you didn’t include your many hours of blogging and checking email!
Ooh, I like the idea of mapping it out 😉 Your days make me tired!
I would love to come spend a couple of days with you and learn, learn, learn . . .
wow – you get a lot done in a day! thanks for posting these details. love your projects!
LOL, Jamie@OwlReally! I totally saw that in my head!
Gail, you are the master multitasker! I can do that with housework, but when it comes to projects, I tend to work on one until it’s finished. If I put it down, it may not get picked back up. Case in point, my daughter’s insulated school snack bag that I started last January and still haven’t finished 12 days out from the new school year…
If you mapped it out, you’d look like the Family Circle kid. 🙂
i am the same way when weather permits…. my mind doesn’t rest much, and because of it neither do my hands!
I don’t know about you, but I’m exhausted! And then you had to write the post twice, that’s just creul!
It’s interesting to see your day that way.
Holly
Wow, you are busy! I love that accomplish so much! I tend to jump around in my projects too, but my husband just calls me ‘scatty’. Hmph!
xx
Okay girl. Now that the rest of us feel like a pack of slackers! I can relate to the part where you hop from project to project but somehow it seems like mine never get finished.
That bench looks great.
one busy bee! Great post, even if it makes me feel lazy in comparison ;o).
Hugs and have a sweet day,
Sue
OMG!!! you are sooooo busy, sure you must be run ragged and to think you still find time for hair appointments and some fun in between and then still share with us other humble beings, no wonder i thought you were a goddess, lol.
smiles
