I am revisiting this post because it is timely with school starting this fall.
I turned it upside down, painted it with chalkboard paint, and added hooks at the bottom.
Every good back to school organizer needs a place to hold essentials such as pens (for signing notes) and pencils (for those tests) and of course an eraser to keep everything up to date.
Hanging in your mudroom or by your back door this organizer would keep even the busiest family on track!

This really is a great project! I love how you look at an object in a whole new way!
This is a great idea. I have lame, ugly hooks by our back door, this is so much cuter! Thanks for sharing 🙂

Wow, so clever!!! I have trouble seeing other things in objects like that! I love it!
I really like this; just wish I had a place for it. I see so many of these type headboards for just a few $$$ and wonder what could be done with them. Can always count on you to come up with some great ideas.
This is fabulous, Gail!
Another cool project. You are awesome. Just awesome!
Oh I love this project, you thought of everything! I’m going to have to finally post the one I did for Erin’s seamstress friend. Tho it’s not even close to this caliber.
