I’ve never been a fan of curtains. I think because it’s just one more decor decision to make. 🙂 But I agree that it would soften the room. The very left window by the closet butts right up against the closet door…. 🙁

You would love this carpet. It’s soooo soft!

Thank you so much Christina. Of the three doorways inside and out, I only have the inside of the bathroom to finish. Maybe I’ll do it in the heat of the summer when it’s too hot to do projects outside. 🙂

I love the flooring. I took the carpet up and left the original hardwood floors for years. But I like the look of the dark floors so much better than the orange original floors. As I type this I’m looking at it in the living room and it still makes me smile.

The filing cabinet hack with a door is great!

Love the rugs they do go so well with the flooring. I’m making a chest for my art room like your black one. I was going to refinish it and continue using it, but the surface area is just so small, and how do you put a vice on it, or a pasta extruded for polymer clay. So I’m replacing it with 2 short filing cabinets and a 7′ by 32″ solid core door on top. And I’ve put up a white faux wood blind so the sheer curtains that only catch dirt. As soon as I squirrel away enough money for enough engineered hard wood flooring for all 3 bedrooms, I’ll get rid of thecarpet and put it down

You have done a lot in your house to make it your own. I have those wide blinds in almost every window in my house. I find if you hang some curtains each side (I don’t close mine) it really softens the look of the room. I just put some curtains in my bedroom which has a two windows behind the bed and it really makes a big difference. I would like one of those carpets in there, would be nice on cold winter nights and mornings!
