I have started the same project. I plan to clean up and paint the studs and the back of the other wall that form the inside of the closet. Do you think its necessary to make a complete insert like you’ve done?

heheheh Well, in my case it had been a closet years ago, and drywalled to access it another way. Hypothetically speaking, If you’re not removing any studs, it shouldn’t matter, right?

I need another broom closet, this one for my vacation home, a trailer (400 sq ft) However there are no studs, so I’ll have to build something in my tiny master 1/2 bath. lol

I need a broom closet at my vacation home (400 sq ft trailer). But! There are no studs. I’m trying to find the time to build a freestanding closet in the master bedroom. I really need a place to put brooms and mops!

Hi Gail, Turned out great, thank you for sharing. I have been planning on doing this exact same thing in my laundry room behind the door for all of our dog leashes, harnesses, etc. Seeing this makes me feel closer to getting mine done. TY, Sheila

I appreciate your feedback Betty. The subscription form . . . simply click anywhere else on the page, and poof! it disappears. Maintaining a website has become very expensive these days. Have you noticed how every site you go to has ads? I can’t even check the weather app on my phone without closing out an ad.

ps The subs popup states in it “not interested, click anywhere else to close this window”
