I am linking this popular post to Donna's party. Donna said to repost your most popular post to her party. However my most popular post has already been featured at Donna's site, so I'm sure you've already seen it. "Boring trays get style" is very popular also, and has not been linked to Donna's site before.
I had these regular boring trays, and I tried to sell them at a yard sale, but no one ever even noticed them. They were just too blah!
I'm not a very good stager, so while my daughter was visiting this weekend, she used some of her very cute vintage jewelry to dress up my trays!
Here it is at her house. She had some drawers in use as a small side table. She simply put the tray atop of the drawers!
I'm having a hard time deciding which one I like best.
I love how nice the jewelry looks displayed on this little saucer.

Hi Gail...
My friend, I love, love, LOVE your pretty trays!!! What a fabulous way to dress them up! I would have never thought to use a piece of cardboard to just insert into the tray! I love this idea because you can easily change the fabric to go with any design or vignette! I use trays so much in my decor and for staging vignettes! I really like the two fabrics...I love black and white damask...so that is my favorite! But...the pretty blue and brown would go perfectly in my master bedroom! Hehe! Your daughter has a really good "eye" for staging...such pretty vignettes! I love the vase of flowers and the pretty plate with the pieces of jewelry...simply gorgeous!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this awesome post with us for Sunday Favorites! I will definitely be using this great design tip!!!
Warmest wishes,
Chari
PS...so sorry that I'm so late in getting by. We had to go out of town yesterday and I didn't get back home till very late last night!

I've been thinking about doing something similar with some old wooden trays that I have, but with scrapbook paper instead of fabric (since that's what I have lying around). Yours are beautiful! Great job!

This is a great idea for customizing trays. I can't wait to try it, as I've had an old tray that was sitting unused for a while now.
