New Look for My Repurposed Life
If you have visited my homepage, you may have noticed a few changes. I have started to truncate my posts. This means that when you are on the homepage you will see “snippets” of my last 7-10 posts. Because most of my posts are tutorials they take up a great deal of space on the homepage. If a new visitor pops in, I’d like for them to get a good feel for My Repurposed Life, without scrolling through tons of directions and pictures. It’s one extra click for my regular readers, I hope you won’t mind. (You can click the title of the post or “get the rest of the details”)
I’m hoping that doing this will also decrease the amount of time my page takes to load.
If you read My Repurposed Life in a reader or via email, you will not notice any changes. I will always send the complete feed to you.
Some time ago I submitted my kitchen makeover to This Old House, and totally forgot that I did so. Julia, a very thoughtful and eagle eye reader alerted me that my kitchen made the cut, and is in fact one of the top projects of 2011. I was thrilled when I found out. I’m assuming they had hundreds of entries, and maybe even some voting…. glad I wasn’t aware of it at the time.
As I am writing this post, I am only 2 followers away from 4000!!! Oh my! That is crazy! I remember when Donna (Funky Junk Interiors) and Marian (Miss Mustard Seed) went head to head to see who got there first. Of course at the time My Repurposed Life was just a baby, and never did I think I’d have so many followers. Have I told you lately how much I appreciate each and every one of you?
I have some new sponsors and revenue opportunities. I’ve talked about this pretty openly before. You know I appreciate anything and everything you do to support My Repurposed Life. There are some new items on my sidebar, please take a minute to check them out. One of those is Home Depot! Can I tell you how excited I am to have that little logo over there? I do get credit for purchases made when you click through that ad. One last plug-If you shop Amazon.com, did you know that you can enter Amazon through my site? Their banner is easy to find at the bottom of the page. This post may contain affiliate links which won’t change your price but will share some commission.
I also have an affiliation with HomeRight, makers of the wonderful CommandMax. Don’t forget that they are currently giving my readers 10% off and free shipping when they order a CommandMax Fine Finish Sprayer. Be sure to write My Repurposed Life in the SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS section. They will send you a revised invoice via your email. Hurry though, this offer is good through April 30, 2012.
