You need to look closely at this picture. It’s actually two mirrored closet doors. You’re seeing the reflection of the rest of the bathroom.
Well, looky there! An open drawer. You’re learning all about my bad habits.
I cleaned this area out a lot like I did my bedroom closet. I cleared the top shelf.
That little clown fella has been hanging around since jamie was a small child. That little flower? It’s also been around for years. Jamie made that out of Elmer’s glue, it’s sort of like a vinyl cling. It was on the mirror for about 8-10 years, until this bathroom was remodeled 7 years ago. Did I tell you that I have trouble being emotionally attached to stuff? Please tell me I’m not the only one. I mean seriously, it’s been here this long, why get rid of it now?
I wiped down the shelf and wiped down all the containers as I put them back.
I then moved to the second shelf and the tops of the oh so stylish drawer bins. They’ve been there for years, but I’m thinking there must be a better alternative? Do you have any thoughts? I am not a very organized person. It would have to be a frugal alternative. The drawers on the left hold some extra linens and things. The drawers on the right hold just random first aid items and such. If I am to be totally honest I must tell you that I did not clean out the drawers. My plan for this bathroom closet was to set the timer for 1 hour whenever I had a spare hour to clean.
That was last week, and the total time I’ve spent on the closet? ONE hour!
But, the good news is that it WAS last week, and it still looks this neat. Oh, well, maybe one of the drawers is hanging open ???
This closet is huge! It spans a whole wall, maybe 7 or 8 feet in length. It is the area where the bathtub and linen closet used to be.
It’s difficult to explain the layout of this closet. There are the two huge doors. The shelves I cleaned already are behind the “left” closet door.
This area is behind the closet door on the right. You can see the edge of the doorway. To the right of that doorway, is a cubby section that you have to step into the closet to get to it. Do you see where that could be a problem? You can’t step into it.
There on the left is the top right side of the shelf from above. To take this picture, I stepped into the closet and looked to my right. This is that cubby section.
I am breaking my own “blogging rules” here. I’m showing a before, not having an after. We are supposed to get some snow this weekend, I hope to set the timer several more times to get this in order. I WILL have some after pictures to show you next week. This is the year of organization for gail! Maybe if I say it often enough, I will actually convince myself?
Check back next week, and if you don’t see a post about this bathroom closet, hold me accountable, k?
I appreciate you reading my blog in your reader and/or via email.
