I really liked that you kept the dinged corner instead of trying to erase seventy years of history, because that kind of honest wear is what makes a thrifted piece feel real. Your note about switching to the finer sandpaper after stripping helped me picture how smooth that tabletop must feel now, and using a toothbrush on the trim was a smart way to reach the routed edges without losing detail. Mixing leftover paint to reach that dusty blue is a great reminder to use what is already on the shelf before buying another can.

I was going back and forth between the dark glaze or distressing. However, I love the way the glaze makes the turned legs look. Mixing paints is so much fun, as you can tell, since I already had a blue mixture AND a gray mixture.
