Headboards come in all shapes and sizes. I’m going to show you a scalloped bed bench we made!
We bought this cute little twin bed headboard at the Peddler’s Mall for $5.00. It was before we knew we could find good stuff on the curb. Why would you spend hard earned cash buying headboards at thrift stores and peddler’s malls when you can shop the curb?
This white scalloped headboard was very easy to turn into a bench.
This was back in the pre-blogging days, so I don’t have any “work in progress” pictures. The build is fairly simple. Build a box, attach legs to the front and add a plank seat for the bench.
Just another example of what you can do with an old scalloped bed. I never was wild about the color of this scalloped headboard bench. Funny thing is, I’ve never seen another headboard like this in all my years of junking!
I think this headboard bench would be great in a mudroom, or a little girl’s bedroom.
