wondering the best way to redo a table. I know I want to have a painted surface that looks stressed and cool, but not sure how to remove the old stuff. can you just sand it a bit and then prime?? Household paint in enamel finish would work, right? I know nothing about this and am getting very scared about starting the project!!

Your new night stands look great! I also like don’t like to dust and I like the profile or outline that black paint gives to a room so if it has a top surface…I just stain it walnut or sometimes use swiss coffee paint , then the rest is painted black. Black pieces without dusting stress!

The table looks great, what a fantastic idea to cut it in half, its a simple way to add some contrast to the room, even if its a small space… it would be perfect for flowers or photo frames… upcycling is soooo fun, I create many upcycled crafts too… its so nice to find a fellow upcycler. Cheers
