What a great way to reuse those frames. They have such a great shape. I have a quart of paint and wish I had just gotten the spray can. Seems a lot easier!

Good to know. I have always used the can of chalkboard paint, but I just bought my first can of spray paint. I was curious as to how far it would go? Also, good to know that you can paint right on top of the art work! That will save a ton of time!!! Life to the full, Melissa

Using spray chalk paint really turns almost any surface into a chalkboard. In addition, the best spray chalk paint I ever try was Valspar Chalkboard Spray Paint. Has anyone here use of it?

I love the spray chalk paint. I have even used it on an old refrig. that is in our garage. Look out around our house, or it will be painted with chalk paint. 🙂 I love your frames. Looks great.

Great save on those frames Gail... I have passed them up so many times... they look fabulous painted black.

I haven't tried the spray... I try to avoid spray paint, I don't like the fumes. I love my can of chalkboard paint... I think the can I have is Krylon(sp?) right now... cheaper than the rustoleum and it works great.

I’ve always walked right by those gawd awful gold (Plastic) frames but they really are eye-catching when painted flat black.
