Hi sweet readers of My Repurposed Life! When we heard that our dear friend Gail wasn’t doing well we immediately wanted to help out in any way we could. If we lived closer we would have been right by her bedside, but given that we are a few states away the next best thing we could do is guest blog for her! My name is Katie and I blog at Sew Woodsy with my husband, Jon (dubbed Mr. Woodsy on the blog). We are a husband and wife DIY team. We document our journey of homeownership one tutorial at a time. Sew Woodsy is a place where we share our love for renovating and decorating on a budget. We absolutely LOVE Halloween and we love creating inexpensive items to decorate our home with. Here are our top 5 Halloween projects from SewWoodsy.com!
We made this fence a few years ago to add an additional layer of spookiness to our front yard! Best of all we didn’t spend any money on making it. We recently created a video to share just how easy it is to make this fence for your very own home!
I saw this in a popular Halloween catalog and knew I didn’t want to spend $70 on it, so I decided to make a version of my own. The entire project cost me $18!
I had a dream one evening to make this vase using the skeleton garland I bought from the Dollar Store just a few days prior. Using simple house-hold items plus a few items from the dollar store I whipped this up in no time!
A few years ago I begged Mr. Woodsy for a life size coffin… he wasn’t really sure about the life size coffin. Using a few pallets he constructed this very rustic coffin that is now used year after year. It’s used not only as display but as Halloween storage throughout the other 11 months!
Using a few severed hands from the dollar store and a plant stand we already owned I was able to create this simple yet creepy outdoor decor.
And just in case your still looking for a costume… check out our 25 DIY Couples Costumes for Halloween I’m so glad we could help out Gail and share just a few of the many DIY Halloween projects we have on Sew Woodsy. Get social with us and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Pinterest!
Thank you so much Katie and Jon for stepping up to help me out with a guest post! Loving the DIY Coffin!
