When I first lost my job 2 years ago (oh my, I can’t believe it’s already been 2 years!) I had a lot of time on my hands. I surfed the net a lot, and I came across Margo’s website. I like all of her projects, but I was intimidated by most of them. I didn’t own a power saw of any kind! So, there wasn’t much I could do. I was in love with her framed bottles! Every time I went to a thrift store, I was in search of cute frames, and bottles. Mine are not exactly like Margo’s in the fact that mine are very small. It’s hard to tell by the pictures, but all of these are smaller than a 5×7.
I used small pieces of luan, in place of the original back of the frame. I used Weldbond, and usually drilled 2 tiny holes and attached a thin piece of wire. Most of the bottles rested on the bottom of the frames, and that helped support the bottles.

These 3 examples are only a few of the many I made. Sometimes I get carried away, and I certainly did with this project. If you have questions about what kind of glue to use, try this site:

These frames all have silk flowers, but they would look great with a cut flower in them too!

I’m highlighting this tonight at somedaycrafts.blogspot.com
That is so cool! I have a vase that is flat on one side and this would be PERFECT for it! I think I might have to spray paint the vase first though!
