How to make a glasss dessert plate using thrifted items. It's easy to glue the pieces into a pedestal design for yummy cupcakes and more. #MyRepurposedLife #repurposed #glassware #glass #diy #project #cupcakestand #dessertplate #thrifted via @repurposedlife

You will love this glass dessert plate project!

I love these plates. I mean the plates aren't anything special on their own.

    thrift store plates

However I did get a really good deal on them.

thrift store plates to make glass dessert plate

I got several different sizes and shapes.

candle holder to make glass dessert plate

I also got a good deal on a couple of candle holders.

I highly recommend that you never pass up a great deal on glassware. All shapes and sizes, if you get them for fifty cents or a dollar, you can't go wrong. They are so fun to put together for projects. Have you seen my glass totem tutorial? If you check it out, you will quickly discover that I may have a problem when it comes to collecting glassware!

You know where I’m going with this, right?

You know I’m not a good stager. I don’t have scrumptious cupcakes to display.

But I do have a light box to take the pictures of my new glass dessert plate!

I love, love, love the way these pieces fit so perfectly together.

It’s like they were separated at birth!

If only I was having a party so that I could use it!

A product like E 6000 Glue is perfect for a small project like this. You can find great tips on that Totem Tutorial I mentioned above. When will you be making your own glass dessert plate?

Can you share what kind of glue you used? I have been toying with a similar idea but not sure what best clear glue to use on glass? Thanks for any information!

I use clear GE II silicone for windows and doors for all of my glass projects. I find it in the caulk aisle at Home Depot.

I have had a totem outdoors for almost 5 years year round, and it's holding up so well!

        have fun, good luck!

      Pretty! It's fun to see clear glass. I'm voting to fill it with goodies, though! {smile!}
