A while back I hosted a giveaway from Wagner Power Plus. There were two winners. In order to enter, the entrants agreed to show before and after pictures here on this ole blog. If you missed it, you can read how Karen and her hubby spray painted their shutters.
The other winner was Anna from Directions Not Included. Be inspired by how she and her husband transformed their family room:
The morning I found out I won the Wagner Power Painter Plus I literally woke up my husband squealing. Our family room is covered in slump brick, a thin and uneven brick with deep grooves which makes painting it a tedious task. Since we bought this fixer upper in December of last year we have lived with the dingy painted brick that is sprinkled with touches of orange too.

Please disregard the decor. The house is a major renovation zone. |
Since we were doing this inside, prep was the most important step. We have an exposed beam ceiling which we are going to refinish and even though the floor is going to be replaced I didn’t want to add paint to its already ugly look.
Remember to read the instructions BEFORE trying to clean the machine. If not you will spend some time with a flashlight in the backyard looking for a missing piece like my husband did 😉

I appreciate you reading my blog in your reader and/or via email.

Oh, WOW! That’s such a great after!
Hand-painting those bricks would have been so tedious–Anna was so lucky to win! The “after” is so much better! 🙂
WOW, anna!!! that is amazing! the white brikj and the exposed beams together are just stunning!
Anna..so glad you were lucky enough to win the Wagner sprayer..you certainly needed it.
I can’t imagine what it would have been like to have to hand paint those bricks. It looks fabulous now.
Best wishes on getting your home renovations finished!

Wow, that’s the perfect project for a paint sprayer! Looks great. I see Anna and I are both die hard paint sprayer addicts. We should form a club….. lol.
Great makeover Anna, and I’m with you, with a sprayer like that no job is too big!
