Look at how easy it is to repurpose picket fencing into a garden shelf.

A friend of mine inspired me to do this little picket fence shelf. However, finding curbside picket fence around my neck of the woods took a lot longer than I expected. I finally came across some red stained fencing. I attached cleats on the side to support the shelves and glued and screwed everything together. I left the original holes, because this was a "quickie". I find them charming. The color of course is an "oops" green.

      Gail,

How cool! I love picket fence. I made a nightstand out of a door and leftover picket fence.
