Several months ago CSN Stores offered to let me review a product, I accepted. I’ve learned my lesson, don’t agree to review a product that needs to be installed. Why? Because nothing goes as planned! Three months later, I have my wonderful new faucet installed.
CSN Stores fulfilled their end of the bargain in record time. I ordered my faucet and it was delivered quick! If you’ve never dealt with them online, and you have the need to shop from the comfort of your home, I highly recommend them.
Meet my old faucet. It has served me well, but it really was time to move on.
Removing the old faucet was not near as difficult as I thought it would be. It was however difficult to maneuver under the sink. Before I did anything I shut the water off. I have shutoff valves right under the sink. I used a wrench to remove the water lines and the plastic nut.
I pulled the faucet out and removed the water line in the middle of the faucet (the sprayer hose). Faucet out! Why did I wait three months? I waited because I wanted to remove the faucet so I could install a new backsplash. I did just that. I put the new backsplash in while the faucet was removed.
This is the only thing I had to purchase in order to install my faucet.
I should have taken pictures of the directions. They were so easy to understand. I must tell you that I have never done any plumbing prior to this faucet installation. I used the plumber’s putty on this base. I put plumber’s tape on the threads of the sprayer hose (shown) and the water lines (not shown with plumber’s tape)
I put sprayer in it’s hole (using plumber’s putty on it too). After tightening the nut on the sprayer, I fed the hose up through the middle hole and screwed it in place. I then pushed the faucet into place. You can see the putty oozing out from under the faucet.
I installed the plastic nuts and reconnected the water lines. I have to tell you I was a little nervous about turning those water shutoff valves back on.
I took a deep breath and just went for it. Awww, “Houston we have liftoff!”
I love the finish of my new faucet. It is stainless steel finish. Doesn’t it look so pretty in my nearly finished kitchen. Thank you CSN Stores! I’m so sorry it took so long to install your wonderful faucet!
(although CSN Stores generously provided me with a faucet, the thoughts and opinions are my own.)
