This is a sponsored post for Krylon Dual Superbond Paint + Primer
About a month ago I got the opportunity to go to Cleveland to participate in the Krylon Spraydown. You may remember last year I participated in their 24 in 24 Challenge. I was so happy that they invited me back for another event!
Mark brushing up on his lines-Gail & Theresa-Gail taking a much needed break in the “talent” trailer-Liza, Mark, Theresa, Gail chatting about a scene, busy production crew.
The 24 in 24 Challenge was live on the internet—while the Krylon Spraydown was taped on location for 3 different webisodes. I am in webisode #1{Make it Stick with Krylon Dual Superbond Paint + Primer} that debuts today on Krylon.com.
I joined the fabulous DIY duo of Mark and Theresa Clement from My Fix It Up Life for a day of fun projects. By helping Mark and Theresa bank some bucks on refurbishing some existing projects with the new Krylon Dual Superbond Spray Paint (instead of buying new items) they are hoping to get some new outdoor toys. Mark is hoping to get a new mountain bike, while Theresa has her heart set on a new hammock for some serious r&r. Secretly I am putting my money on the hammock because these 2 are always on the go, and could really use some downtime.
Krylon sent me some Dual Superbond to try out before I went. I had bought several of these planters for jamie, so I tested out this new paint on them. I used Gold Metallic—jamie and I both loved how they turned out. The best thing about this new paint is there is little to no prep work. Just make sure there is no loose dirt or rust, and you’re good to go!
While I was in Cleveland I saw that this Krylon Dual Superbond Paint & Primer will adhere to any substrate (fancy word the Krylon folks use for surfaces). What will it stick to you ask?
- wood
- metal
- laminate
- plastic
- melamine
- vinyl
- wicker
- glass
- concrete
- ceramic
All of those surfaces with one paint and NO priming!

Watch the video to see how it all gets done, and all the surfaces where we used the Krylon Dual Superbond paint! Will Mark get a new bike? Or will Theresa get a new hammock?

What? You don’t follow Krylon on Facebook? You should, so you can see more great projects and tips from Mark & Theresa.
I was in webisode 1, stay tuned for Mark & Theresa with Beckie and Liz in webisode 2 and Mike in webisode 3 both released later this summer. I’ll keep you posted on those webisodes.
I’ll be sharing more this week about what I did in my downtime and some more projects I’ve done around here using the fabulous Krylon Dual Superbond Paint + Primer.

Although Krylon invited me to the blog event and are compensating me for my time—you my friends know that all of the thoughts, opinions, and projects are my own. Krylon has not told me what to say, nor have they told me what projects to do.
How fun!! You did fantastic on camera, Gail! I actually learned something too 🙂
How exciting! Congrats!
Great job Gail! It looked like you were having a great time! 🙂

enjoyed watching the video…so glad they asked you to come back!
What??? Laminate AND melamine? That is seriously impressive!
Love the video, Gail! You did a great job! I loved the variety of projects you all updated to show off how diverse the paint is. 🙂
You looked so cool and calm in the video—I would have frozen!
I’ll have to try this paint out—I’m looking for Breast Cancer Awareness-Pink to paint a chair for someone going through it….

Adorable Gail!
Loved seeing you in this video. You looked like you were having fun. 🙂
I guess that the paint really works?! I have painted plastic chairs before with spray paint but even now; they need repainting. It just didn’t last. I wonder if this paint has lasting power? I’d definitely try it out on my old dingy (already painted) chairs, before buying new chairs.
I’m thinking of tons of other things to paint too.
Your list said ‘concrete’… I’d like to give that one a shot!
Great job Gail

GAIL! This is so exciting! I’m so happy they asked you to do another project. (You’re famous!)
We recently had a shutter damaged in a storm..when we replaced it (first time since building our home) we noticed that the package said “this cannot be painted” Really?? I’ve never seen shutters that couldn’t be painted. They are vinyl, not wood. I’m wondering if this would work for them? I can’t see buying all new shutters when I think I might could paint them and get more years out of them. And when we put the new one up, we realized just how faded the others looked.
Loved the video….and I’m going to try some of that paint on my mailbox!!! Thanks for the heads up! 🙂
