A while back I showed you these two white frame-a-ma-jigs. (I love making up words). I’m not sure what they are. I think they may have been some kind of cabinet door frames.
I paid $1.00 each for them. If you missed it, you can see what I did with the coffee table in the post Coffee Table Into a Bench.
I have been fortunate enough to get a lot of luan in the cull bin lately, and this piece was one of those purchases. It almost fit perfectly. I only had to cut a little bit off to make it fit into the frame-a-ma-jig.
See, it fits perfectly! I suppose I must have gotten awfully busy and forgot to take any pictures along the way.
I painted the frame-a-ma-jig with a really pretty Martha Oops. I had a vinyl I got at Big Lots.
I haven’t used much vinyl. I wanted to make sure it was straight, so what better way than to use my speed square and a yardstick.
I got this vinyl for $3.00. I saw it online for $18.00. Crazy!
Of course I didn’t stage it. I don’t have a laundry room, so I intend to take this sign to Glendale.
I painted the luan with white semi-gloss. If someone chooses to, they could easily remove the vinyl and do something else with this piece.
I continue to work on the kitchen, taking it one day at a time. It’s going to be a long process, but isn’t it always?
