Do you remember the Christmas vinyl pieces I made with Oh My Crafts vinyl?
I love these images that are already made. I picked this up in the Silhouette online store over Black Friday weekend for .50 cents. I’ve always wished I had the talent and patience to design word art. I have a difficult time seeing what looks good. Lucky for me I can just hop online and buy one.
I cut it out of white vinyl, and put it on a board I painted with DecoArt Festive Green.
After I applied the vinyl, I brushed on some of the DecoArt Glamour Dust. (right over the vinyl)
It’s difficult to capture the shimmer with the camera. I love the crisp white on the green, and the glitter just makes me smile!
My friend Stephanie from Cre8tive Designs Inc texted me a picture of a subway art she did, and me, being addicted to my Silhouette machines I just HAD to whip out one for myself. Stephanie’s was soooo cute! After talking to her, I remembered that I bought a bunch of images over the black Friday weekend.
As you can see, I draw little boxes and lines around my words. It makes it easier to weed large pieces. I designed this and cut it out with my Cameo.
I added the Christmas lights because this was a cupboard door and it still had the handle holes. (I didn’t want to take the time to paint it)
After I cut out the red vinyl, I copied and pasted the items that I wanted to be green and yellow cutting those out separately.
If you don’t have a Cameo, and are interested in getting one, they will be having an after Christmas sale…and a certain blogger just might be having a giveaway.
I hope you’re ready for Christmas! As I write this post (pre-Christmas) I am not ready. Hopefully by the time this post is live on the blog I’ll be ready.

Gail, that turned out beautifully. I love how you put boxes around your individual words. That would make it easier to weed them. Yet another wonderful idea I’m going to imitate.
Merry Christmas!

Cute! I’ve never heard of glamor dust, but I think I need
some. 🙂
Have a wonderful Christmas, Gail!
So cute!
Merry Christmas Gail!

I’m a sign nut and yours are so very decorative and festive! I can’t imagine the convenience of having a machine that does the cutting for you! That’s got to be a lot of fun. You do a wonderful job with it. The door sign is the best! Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas!
Gail every time I visit you I wonder where does she get all this energy….I would love to have just a little of it. Your art work is very very nice. Merry Christmas Trish
Beautiful projects – are they gifts? You are so creative. I love them!
Have a Merry Christmas, Gail!!!
Oh, I love that! My hubby got me a Cameo for Christmas, but I’m still intimidated by it! I can’t wait to make subway art like yours!
Thanks for commenting on my blog…I thought I might be alone in the wood-smelling club! 🙂
Oh me oh my, I love yours! I especially like the Christmas lights on the sides, really adds some fun it! I am already thinking of what I can make next…so darn addicting that machine is!
Great job Gail. I’m a cutter file designer and your right. It takes a lot of time and patience to design great files.

Oh my gosh!
Too Cute Gail!
I *love* the lights on the outside of the ‘frame’!!
Good idea about the boxes around the larger pieces for weeding! I’ll have to keep that in mind!
Love all the vinyls you do!! That tree is so cute!!
What a fun project. I love the different colors and the great use of the cabinet door. I hinted months ago that I wanted a Silhouette for Christmas. Hmm, I wonder if they were listening.
Hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas.
GAil,

Linda

Wonderful idea! Great job.
Merry Christmas!
Gail, I just love your vinyls. Every time you make something new, I end up wishing, yet again, for a Silhouette. I’m not worried, one day I will have one but till then I will do the hard way : ) Merry Christmas my dear friend. Hope you’re enjoying your convection oven so far ; )
