It was another great week of free stuff from family, friends and neighbors! When you do what I do, you don’t really have to “look” for junk, it just sort of finds you.
If you remember, earlier in the month I got some free fence panels. A local reader had asked me about a picket fence panel while she was visiting my booth during Glendale 2015. When she picked up one of those picket fence panels last week, she dropped of some fabulous goodies for me! Thank you Donetta!
While I was away from home, Donetta dropped off this stuff!
I’m really not even sure what these parts are.
Not sure what this framed thing is either.
If you were paying close attention, you may have noticed all this lumber in the background of the pictures above. It was delivered last week for a DIY picket fence I’ve been working on with a neighbor from across the street. More on that in coming weeks!
Check out these awesome crib ends that were part of Donetta’s freebies. Aren’t they special?
Here’s a better look at the chairs. Two are in really good shape (caning), and two are in need of repair.
Y’all know me, I don’t do this kind of repairing. So, of course the two chairs needing repairs will be repurposed—in fact my guess is all FOUR of the chairs will be repurposed, even though Donetta did include the chair seats.
While digging up a huge lilac bush (because it’s in the way of the new fence) a neighbor stopped along the road and offered me this table. It looks good, but it’s in really rough shape structurally. It’s being held together with “L” brackets. Hopefully I can work some Kreg Jig Pocket Hole magic on it when the weather is a little warmer.
Last, but not least, here’s a little something I got from Cousin Terry. Someone picked it up off the side of the road in pieces, Terry sort of put it back together and passed it on to me.
As always, I’m open to suggestions for any and all of the above. As of this moment, I have no immediate plans for any of these items.
What would you do?

I took an old table and turned it upside-down and used it to hold large frames. The legs keep the frames propped up on their edge, so I can “page” through them to find the one I want. I put scrap cardboard between the frames to keep them from dinging each other. You could put a piece of old carpet down first to keep the long edges from scratching on the underside of the table.
That’s a good idea! I love red these days. Thanks!

I would like the last item shipped to me. I can put it in my garage with other items I need to work on!!!
i would probably just sit and look at it all and giggle then get over whelmed lol xx
Hi there!
As soon as I saw the cane back chairs I thought of my sister-in-law. She makes jewelry and those would make great displays for her pieces. Remove back piece and cut off legs, maybe spray paint cane a chalky black and frame aged turquoise.
I will be on the lookout for some in my area!
Holy cow! I want a friend like Donetta too! I see so many awesome potential projects in the near future with all this good stuff!
