Wow, this is a great sign you did! Love it! 🙂
There’s nothing like repurposing something. This name plaque turned out beautiful 🙂
Hi! It was so nice to meet you yesterday at the goodwill shop and hop. I didn’t get to see what you got-but I’m sure whatever you do it will turn out great! I love the name plaque!
This sign is beautiful and I’m sure your friend will love it (even if she was going to make one that said something else). Now she can have the best of both worlds, one from you & one she makes herself! Love it!
The sign looks fantastic! I’m sure she’ll love it!
the sign looks great!!! You are so thoughtful.
Awesome! Following you from Funky Junks Saturday Nite Special!
Come by for a visit!

I never would have guessed these were part of a table! It looks wonderful and I am sure your friend will be very happy with it.
The sign looks really great! I love the tip you gave us, tracing the letters with a pen. I wouldn’t have thought to do that.
I love that! Thanks for the comment. I am starting a Favorite Things Friday Party staring the 19th, come join in if you are interested.
Looks good! The best part is the chain sitch thing you did to hang it. The jute goes well with the sign. I wish my mom had taught me that!:)
It turned out beautifully!!! Great job and GREAT tutorial!!
Thank you for sharing!!
Absolutely fantastic, Gail. Who would’ve thought. Love the lettering also.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day ~
Have a lovely weekend.

aha! Now I have something I can do with all the broken pieces of tabletops I’ve got floating around here. Knew they would be good for something someday, just didn’t know what. Leave it to you to come up with such a great idea. Thanks for the tutorial.
This is lovely! I’m sure your friend will find a great place to display this piece, even if it isn’t what she thought she wanted! 🙂
I love this sign, thank you for the very clear step by step instructions and the pics to go along with it. I must give this a try.
LOVE the sign and your friend will cherish the thought and work that went into this labor of love.
Looks nice.
Hi Gail,
Nice tutorial on the sign. I have been looking for a new way of making them. The last one I did was also using a portion of an old table. Since then I tend to look at old tables in whole different way. I will try your technique on the next sign I do. Thanks for the tips.

Once again I am amazed at your crative mind. Who else would have seen a sign in a table top? It turned out great and I know your friend will be thrilled to have your gift even if doesn’t say what she planned. Have a good weekend.
What a great way to repurpose that tabletop! Love painted signs…yours looks fabulous with the simple black and white, and I love the flourish you added.
