My cousin Terry went with me to Hanover/Madison Indiana last week to participate in the National Women Build Week.
Of course my first task upon arrival (as a blogger) was to snap some pictures.
This is the shift #1 crew on Friday. We took care of painting ceilings, and all the trim.
Busy women (and Rob) get busy with painting!
This is the second shift on Friday.
They jumped right in getting some fun colors on the walls.
Even though there was work to do, there’s always time for fun with Lisa and Jess.
This is the master bedroom. After Terry and I painted and trimmed the ceiling, second shift workers got busy painting the walls.
Can you tell we were having fun?
After lunch, we worked for awhile, then we headed to check out the ReStore in Madison Indiana.
I really thought hard about picking up this great deal on an organ and bench. ($9) What would you do? Can you think of a great repurpose with this small organ?
This old piano was only $15. I’ve always wanted to take apart a beat up piano….but I’m not sure my shoulder could survive it.
This was day 2—time for flooring and lights.
Many of these pictures came from the Habitat for Humanity Jefferson County Indiana Facebook Page. You can read an article about us in the Madison Courier
I want to thank Amy and the Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity for inviting me to participate in National Women Build Week, and thanks to Terry for tagging along with me—it was a great day!
