I’m not just Spring Cleaning around the shop, I’m “Spring Keeping”. Those items to “keep” include, of course all of my tools! They tend to get unorganized and shifted around. I recently built a new portable rolling tool cart (stay tuned) for the tools I use most frequently, and that left a lot of stuff that tends to get lost in the shuffle.
This is the mess that I’m spring keeping! As you can see, it’s not very organized and it’s difficult to find stuff. Screws are a necessity and plentiful, as well as random staples and nails! (notice the bricks that are needed because the garage leaks)
Enter this bad boy . . . The highly rated Tall Premiere GearBox was delivered and placed in my carport.
The only thing I had to do was unwrap it and install the casters.
It fits perfectly in my favorite corner of the garage. I need my stuff right inside the door, easy to get to. Note the cabinet on the left resting on the bricks—my garage leaks when it rains. You can see from the size of those casters, water will NOT be a problem!
From their site:
The Premier Tall GearBox stands over five feet tall and comes with three full-width shelves. The two large doors lock for added security. This cabinet sits on heavy-duty casters to meet ever-changing storage needs, and when you need to get your cabinets off the floor, the GearBox conveniently mounts directly to bare studs and drywall or onto Gladiator® Wall Systems. Steel-welded in the U.S.A., the Tall GearBox is backed by a hassle-free, lifetime limited warranty. Gladiator® Premier Tall GearBox also available in Racing Red.
Yay! so much nicer. The shelves are deeper, and they were perfectly spaced, I didn’t even have to move them. I need to get some more pegs for some hanging items on the inside of the doors. Speaking of the doors, they are magnetic across the top, plus there is a lock and key. (I’m sure I’ll never lock it, but it’s nice to know I can. These cabinets would also work for your laundry room, mud room, out building—wherever you need to do some “Spring Keeping”. I’m seriously loving my new garage storage solution!
