brrr, it’s cold outside! We even had snow yesterday, and my driveway is like a skating rink. So… there’s nothing new on the fence. We’re in a hold pattern, or at least I am. It’s too cold for me!
Today, instead of a DIY picket fence update, which by the way, I am LOVING—today, I’m going to share some recent finds with you.
While I was at the Habitat for Humanity event last fall, I picked up these trim pieces.
Of course I didn’t need them, but they were too cheap to pass up.
In December, as I was making a run to Home Depot to get some stuff for the fence I spied these chairs hanging out beside a dumpster nearby.
There were 3 matching chairs and some kind of cabinet (table?). I left the cabinet (ohhh and the shoes!)
This was the 4th chair. It’s really sturdy!
These following items were Christmas gifts from Jamie and Andy. She loves picking up stuff for me to use in my staging photos!
Y’all know I’m pretty clueless, I don’t even know what to call this. But I do know it falls in the non-square or rectangle category when styling.
I loved this faux succulent.
I suppose some of the items are thrift store finds, but some are from bargain stores, including one of my new favorite stores Bargain Hunt.
Can you see a difference in the photos? I bought myself a new camera for Christmas. I’ve been using my cell phone for the last couple of years.
I believe this wire basket came from Bargain Hunt.
She also gave me some new placemats.
I took this group picture so you could get an idea of the scale of the items. She also gave me the lemons.
These candle holders were a Christmas gift from someone in my Bunco group.
A friend passed this little table on to me.
I picked up this dresser and mirror from my cousin over the weekend, she inherited when she bought her house. She di NOT put this ugly paint job on it.
So, that’s what’s new around here. I’m still trying to learn how to use manual on the camera. It’s a Nikon D3300. I’m taking an online photography course, (affiliate link) hoping to learn more about how to use my new camera. I tell ya, the older I get the harder it is for me to learn something new—but I won’t give up using my brain!
Does your family enable/encourage you when it comes to your business? Did you get a new camera?
