I recently went to dinner with my cousin, and we hit up a few thrift stores after we ate. This lonely mirror was the only thing I could find. I think it was $6.
I am a faithful reader of Elizabeth & Company, and I am always seeing Sharon’s rolling stool in her blog posts where she’s been painting in her sunroom. Every time I see it, I think to myself, I gotta get me one of those. I finally did! I’ve already been putting it to use.
Last, but not least, I didn’t find this bed, it found me. My friend Valinda brought me this bed so I can make her a headboard bench. It needs some work to make it structurally sound, but it’s going to be a pretty bench.
Over the weekend, I hit a couple of thrift stores looking for some great deals. I didn’t find anything to buy, but a lot of good stuff.
This chair was in great condition, and it was around $27
This one was a little rougher, but the same price.
This old cedar chest was $150, but on sale for 25% off—still too high in my opinion.
Another $150 piece.
This little workmate table was $50 !!! I think that is so outrageous!
This old beat up dresser? $50
I loved this chair, and it’s a rocker. It was marked at $30, but had been in the consignment area too long, and the mall was asking the owner to remove it. My friend Regina left a note on the paper asking them to call me. I offered $15 for the chair.
Long-time readers will remember that my favorite vendor of all-time is Joey. Joey’s number is always 396 no matter what store he’s in. I think he’s in the Peddler’s for the first time. This door (there were 2) was $20. About $10 over my limit… but I sure did like them.
These doors were in a building supply booth. I didn’t see a price. They smelled like they had been in a fire, and my friend pointed out the sign on the door “no smoking”.
These are the only thing I picked up, some screws for $1. Well, I did buy some holiday paper plates and napkins from a huge bulk sale, but I didn’t take a picture. heheheh
Is there something I passed up that you would have HAD to have? IF I needed a door, or a chair, I would have picked them up. But to pay too much, then try to resell it, is difficult.
