Did you know that Glendale seems to be right around the corner. Cousin Terry is going to be my helper this year. I always do it by myself, and it’s just so much work to do alone, so I asked her to help me out. We will most likely take her R.V. We’re trying to make plans, so yesterday we traveled to E’town (Elizabethtown KY) to check out the KOA campground. We made a day of it, stopping at some yard sales, grabbing a bite to eat, and even splurging on an ice cream at the DQ on the way home. Would you believe this was my first yard sale of the year?
I forgot to take any pictures of the first place we stopped. It was a vacant lot with all the stuff laying on the ground. I think I forgot because I was sort of excited to find some good deals.
So, on our second stop, I remembered to take pics. Isn’t this doll scary? I didn’t even ask about the price of the small baby bed. It’s too cute to repurpose. It needs to be in someone’s home décor as is.
I did ask about the beds, $5. But they were mdf. I wanted them to make some more bunk bed coat racks for Glendale. I probably should have gotten them.
The lamp was $20, and the small tiered stand was marked at $3. The nice lady said prices were negotiable. I offed $2 for the sad, sad, tired—I mean tiered stand.
So, here’s my haul in the back of Terry’s car. By the way, she didn’t buy anything. hehehe
I got a $3 wooden ladder. I already have one, but I just couldn’t pass it up. Doesn’t everyone need a PAIR of ladders?
My sad little tiered $2 stand.
How about some chunky furniture feet for THREE bucks!
More items from the first yard sale—$2 cake pans.
It was a great day hanging out with Terry. Like I said, Glendale will be here before you know it! I have a lot of stuff to do. I’ll need to do a lot of small projects that don’t take up much room in the truck and in the booth. I’m always open to suggestions. What have you seen at craft shows lately that is really popular? What should I focus on?
and…. what have YOU scored for a great deal lately?
