I haven’t really been junk shopping lately. I’ve been so busy working on the DIY home improvements. I miss looking for stuff, but stuff still finds me!
I got these doors from a neighbor across the street. He’s given me a lot of stuff, and was always Johnny on the spot if I needed help unloading the truck. He passed in December and he’s going to be missed.
A friend alerted me to this bed and I was already in the neighborhood, so I ran by and picked it up. It’s not real wood, but I’m sure I can find something to do with it. It’s very similar to this Décor Transfer Headboard and this Headboard Wall Shelf.
While meeting my cousin Terry for dinner one night, she slipped these items into my truck. She got a great deal on all the pieces and had a plan for them—a plan for ME to make her mom a Christmas present. Stay tuned for that project.
Rodney and his wife moved and while he was cleaning out his garage he found a few things to pass on to me. All three of these doors went straight to the shed because I’m working very hard on keeping the garage tidy.
This sweet little sewing desk was also unearthed from Rodney’s garage. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it.
More free stuff from Terry while I was visiting for her mom’s birthday. I didn’t get a picture of the oversized ornate framed mirror.
Isn’t it funny that the beds match, but aren’t the same size? It really puzzles me. Could the headboard be a queen and the foot board be a full sized bed?
ooops! I apparently didn’t have the items stacked very well in the truck—this was a mirror. But when I was pulling everything out of the truck I saw that the mirror was broken. But I LOVE the frame.
I’ll be back in a couple of days to share a fun challenge that some friends and I put together. It’s a Clean Up Your Act, Creative Space, Reorganization Challenge. It’s a reader challenge to encourage you to clean up your creative space whether that is an office, craft room, or DIY shop. I’ll be sharing the dreaded before photos of my basement shop. Ohhh did I mention there will be prizes? I hope you join in the fun.

Happy New Year! So many ideas, but first I’m sorry about the man across the street, and who gave Rodney permission to move? He’s such a good handy person. Now his wife is going to have tons honey dos.
The head and footboards so many ideas, love the little sewing table, maybe a vanity, or a desk that has an extension for Extra Art. The tall pair of brown doors are definitely the sides for a shelf..
Jennie,
So many ideas-thanks for sharing. You’re right. Rodney is quite busy with the Mrs. Honey Do lists. We’re taking a break on my lists for now. I’ve been busy working on the laundry area, and NOW the basement shop.
Thanks for your condolences. My neighbor will be missed dearly.
