It’s been a while since I’ve gone thrift shopping. I felt the urge to get out of the house last week, so I’m going to show you some of the things that caught my eye.
These were nice ammo boxes, but they weren’t very deep. $15 each.
I liked this little night stand, it was priced at $16.50—had some strange knobs going on.
I picked up this old mirror for $7
I would like to trim it out sort of like this. I thought it would make a good project to work on in the basement shop this winter.
I really liked this record/radio cabinet. It was priced at only $10! But the top will need to be replaced because the edge part on the left is broken off. Even so, I couldn’t pass it up.
THIS record/radio cabinet was overpriced at $125 !!!
I thought this was a small chest or something . . .
. . . but after further investigation, I saw it was a cedar chest! I’ve never seen one like it. I couldn’t find a price on it. Ohhhhh it smelled of MOTH BALLS!
If you can see past the yellow paint and the dated hardware, hopefully you can agree with me that these had to come home with me also.
I picked up 3 pieces of trim molding for $4.50 each. That’s a good deal considering at the big box stores they charge by the ft.
So, if you were keeping score, I got the old mirror, the $10 record cabinet and those 2 nightstands.
I’ve already gutted the record cabinet and started working on the nightstands. But now it’s too cold outside to do anything.
Have you scored any great deals lately?
