It’s the first Monday in June, which means it’s time to share my recent finds with you. Some of the items you’ve already seen in completed blog posts! That rarely happens. Many of my finds wait months, sometimes years to find their new purpose.
Do you visit your local Habitat for Humanity ReStore? Mine is across town, so I don’t go as often as I’d like, but I needed something particular, and I knew I could find what I needed here.
These are the reason for my trip this day. I had something in mind for May’s Thrift Store Décor project and I didn’t have (couldn’t find) any glass globes in my stash. I already blogged about my Glass globe Solar Lights, and they have been very popular on Pinterest.
Here’s a picture in case you missed them. I have them hanging on my front arbor of the diy picket fence. They make me smile every night when I see them glowing.
Here’s another find that I have already repurposed.
A $1 frosted window into a window coat rack.
I picked up a couple of pieces of tile for an unknown project.
I resisted the urge to grab any of these $3 glass blocks.
At a local Peddler’s Mall, I scored some great scrap plywood pieces. I frequently buy these because a 4×8 sheet of 3/4” plywood is too difficult to handle. These small cuts are perfect for shelves or cabinets.
So many choices!
I recently took a thrifting trip to Bowling Green to some favorite stores. I got these cabinet door blanks (?) at Flea Land for $3 each. When asked what I was going to do with them, I said “I dunno”.
I picked up this small white vase at Grandma’s Attic. I’ll use it for staging. It wasn’t a very productive shopping trip, but a fun day.
That’s it for this month. I haven’t been to a single yard sale this year. Where is your favorite place to shop? I’m sort of all over the place!

I’m going to have to hit the local Goodwill and look for some glass globes to make those solar lights. The house we’re renting has no outdoor lighting on the deck!
I love to shop at rhe Hosparus thrift shop, our restore and church sales. Got quite a few things at a church sale this weekend.
