Wow! It’s May already. Here in Louisville KY, that means it’s almost Derby Day! We’re at the mercy of the weather for all of our celebration events leading up to and including the big day. We never know what the weather will be like around here. Would you believe I’ve only been to the big race one time? Typically I go to Churchill downs a couple of times a year for other races, but only one Kentucky Derby under my belt.
I haven’t been shopping a lot, but when I go to check on my booth at Vendors’ Village, I always take a few spins around to my favorite vendors to see what I might find.
John had two of these chairs. One with the seat and this one without the seat that came home with me in early April.
I used this chair and one of the buckets below to make a fern plant holder
This beat up old rocking chair was found on one of my nightly walks with Lulu Mae. When we arrived home, we jumped in the truck to go pick it up. I’m a sucker for chairs (obviously).
On another walk I found this ottoman set out to the curb. I didn’t want it, but I thought, why not spin off the bun feet? They are metal, so I’m not sure if they’ll be of use to me, but thought they were worth the time to put them in the “buggy”.
I can’t resist galvanized buckets, especially when they are a great deal! I got these at John’s booth at Vendors’ Village.
I miss the good old days when hose nozzles were made of brass and didn’t need replacing every year. I’ll probably put this one on my extra hose where I built the diy hose hanger last year.
Rodney found these porch lights while searching for something in his garage and asked me if I wanted them. Of course I said yes.
What have you been looking for? Is there something in particular that is always on your radar?
