I got quite a haul last week! My trip to Nashville netted me these great finds:These slatted display shelves came from a cutlery store. I used three of them when I built jamie’s potting bench. I’m not sure what I’ll do with these.
Look at this wood toolbox Andy found while he was clearing out his dad’s estate. UPDATE: see the stand I built for this tool chest
I think it’s way too nice to even step foot in my garage!
It has lots of little drawers.
They’re all felt lined. I just can’t imagine subjecting something so nice to the mountain of sawdust in my shop.
I really do love it, and I plan to repurpose it—stay tuned!
Mid-week, I trekked up to my friends at Quarry Orchard.
It’s so nice to finally meet the whole family—including these girls.
Check out this FREE loot! Thank you Shannon and Dustin for sharing all of this with a fellow junker! UPDATE: see what I’ve been making with these cabinet doors.
This box of legs….
… was switched into this plastic storage tub. How many legs do you think there are? yep, I counted them when I switched them to the tub.
What would you do with these legs?
While Mr. Quarry Orchard was bringing cabinet doors out of his storage building, I was busy piling them in the truck anywhere I could.
And—here they are! I tried to separate them by likeness, but very few of them match. I think there are about 40 random doors and frames. So many possibilities! So many cabinet door projects!
I spent about 6 hours taking the nails out of all of those oak planks that were used as flooring. The planks are great for updating furniture.
That’s a lot of loot folks! What would you do with these finds? I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.
