Happy Ber! Do you know what that means? I didn’t until last Friday. It’s basically the beginning of meteorological Fall! That happens on SeptemBER first, with the following months OctoBER, NovemBER, DecemBER!See? I know I’m looking forward to some cooler weather. Speaking of weather, please know that those who have been in the path of Harvey have been on my mind. I know I’m not alone-that so many of your fellow Americans are with you in spirit.
I got these free tables, and didn’t even have to dive IN the dumpster! I’ve already used 4 sets of the legs to make the metal leg plant stands and more.
Apparently I’ve been on a roll lately, because I’ve already given a great makeover to this MCM Hutch!
Here’s another great find, that has already had a makeover! I haven’t shown you this project yet, but I will very soon.
Would you believe I’ve already put these wood planks to use as well? That project will be on the blog tomorrow.
This FREE chair was turned into a great little side table.
My neighbor Rodney was working on a neighbor’s apartment and took up some old flooring. This is where I got the large 2×12 for the metal leg tables . You can see the plank flooring on the right.
These are the boards he took out. I have no idea what I’m going to do with them.
SCORE! Free doors! Another neighbor is moving to a fixer upper down the street and will be hiring a contractor to gut the house. I mentioned the doors. He said he would walk them down, but I said if he just put them on the porch, I’d come and get them. I did!
I also got some drop offs of plywood from Rodney.
I bought these table legs from John at Vendors’ Village. It looks like they were 4.99, but they actually were 99 cents!
While shopping at Meijer, I found these great candlesticks on clearance! Fun find!
I can’t wait to get started on some fun projects!
What have you found recently?

I haven’t found much lately. Mainly picture frames that I am reusing by repainting. I also did spray paint a few of the mats in them a different color.
I love paint! It’s so easy to make small changes with just a little paint.
My new house needs a touch of me. I bought 2- 3 globe ceiling lights. I paid entirely too much for them, but when it’s for my own house $30 each isn’t bad. I made them into solar outdoor chandeliers hanging from shepherd hooks. I also found a parsons sewing table from the 60s or 70s to remake into a beverage stand on my patio. Bought some ugly oak frames that I painted to put the family pictures in the. I went crazy this week. Love the stuff you found.
Sooo happy you’re being inspired by My Repurposed Life! It’s why I do what I do.
Have Fun Jennie!

I’m finding more good stuff since I moved from CA to the Midwest. Now that we’re finally settled in a house, I hope to start repurposing again. It will be a bit of a challenge since most of our tools were stolen before we moved. Thank goodness, the table saw saw too heavy to cart away quickly. One can still do a lot with a saw, screwdriver and hammer, I hope!
Those doors reminded me of a project I did at our old house. I made a long box to hold fire wood, Two doors were the long sides, old flooring board were the short sides and I made a hinged top. It fit perfectly in an awkward corner of our enclosed porch. It held a lot of firewood and newspaper. and made a good seat for putting on and taking off boots.
Kate,
Sounds like you will have a lot of new projects in your future. Sorry to hear about the theft of your tools. I worry about that all the time.
That was a great use of doors. I’m happy a couple of these are on the small side. One is really, really heavy!
thanks for stopping by!

Great stuff, Gail! I don’t comment much but I’m here reading your posts.
No comments necessary Julie! So happy you’re so busy at work. I’ve been crazy busy on blog work. Hours and Hours trying to tidy up. I feel like I’ll never be done.
Later this week, tackling the garage. THAT’s going to be a big job!
