It’s been a fun-filled week of recent finds! I’m a day late showing you because I had a sponsored post scheduled yesterday. By the way, I appreciate your support on those posts, because they allow me to keep doing what I love to do!
Last weekend, one of my favorite thrift shops was having a parking lot sale. I got there late and they were about to close. Everything was 50% off. I got this crib for $10.

After I left the thrift store, I ran by a neighborhood that had a big yard sale… looking for curb finds. The only think I picked up was this little headboard. It was marked $15 !!!! No wonder they had to put it to the curb.
On Wednesday, I needed to pick up some paint on the other side of town, and asked Cathy if she’d like to ride along. She of course said yes, and we asked her neighbor Lucy to go with us. While we were in the area, we had to do some shopping (and eating). We really enjoyed the day, as you can see the car was filled up—with mostly MY stuff!
a funny little—but very useful side table.
We were in Jeffersonville Indiana, at the thrift stores that were on my Spring Fling route. This vintage lamp was at the Helping Hands store by Vendor’s Village. It’s a fun little store, and the man that works there volunteers 6 days a week. The proceeds go to fight Leukemia. It’s the same store where I picked up my work table and that gynormous $8 table. The man said the lamp was $3, but I gave him $5 for it.
I also got this Scrabble game, shipping tags and some rolls of paper at The Helping Hands store. I bought the game for the tile racks (to use as chalk holders on chalk boards) I offered the tiles and the game board on facebook…they went quick!
At Vendor’s Village, I got this pink headboard. I had to dismantle it at the store in order to get it in the car. $6
Last but not least is this antique radio cabinet. I have never seen one like it before. The doors slide open.
It’s in pretty good shape, and I’m trying to figure out what I want to do with it, and if I should paint it or not.
It had been $15, but I got it for $10. Have you noticed that my $5 limit has sometimes been DOUBLED?
My car was so full, that Cathy couldn’t buy this buffet. It’s just what she’s been looking for, size and price wise. She actually went back later that evening with her husband Larry to pick it up.
Lucy bought a cute scarecrow at Vendor’s Village… I wish I had taken a picture of him. We had a lot of fun teasing her about her new friend. It was such a fun day. I think we wore Lucy out…..not sure she’ll go with us again.
Here’s a sneak peek of what I was up to over the weekend. I put my HomeRight Finish Max to good use!
ps I cleaned out this carport… you can see all the way to the back. It was gross! I actually paid a neighbor to help me. So happy it’s done. See the blue tarp? That is some of the fence I got from my sister.
Have you picked up anything from the curb or thrift store lately?
