I too, prefer to remove the sewing machine frame! However on a few-I have left it. Most recently, I added an extra piece and it allows for hidden storage!

Redoing sewing machine cabinets into side tables may be the easiest DIY. I prefer to remove the piece under the lid that I call the sewing machine frame, the actual board that holds the machine. The uses and colors are endless!

Yes, I have two in the guest room as night stands…. I redid them YEARS ago. That gives me an idea, it might be time for them to get an update!! lol

I repurposed one many years ago and I now use it for a plant stand for a huge air plane plant I have. It’s the only thing on it because of its size. They also make great night stands. They are the perfect height for it. Thanks for giving me more ideas.

Thank you for posting updated sewing tables. I have one in my basement complete with sewing machine. It’s a beautiful piece I don’t know what to do with it or where to put. My neighbor gave it to me when his wife passed. But have given me some good ideas.
