I got this spice rack at a yard sale last year for $2.00. It was brand new and included all of the bottles.

I dismantled it and removed the upper 2 shelves.
     repurposed Spice rack 4
I cut a piece of bead board to fit the back.
I painted two coats of primer before spray painting it pink.

After I painted it, I applied some cute little tatouage rubon flowers.

This would be great for a little girl or a tween.

She could store her items in the two drawers . . .

. . . and hang her necklaces and earrings on the little horizontal pieces.

This cute little jewelry organizer could be hung on the wall . . .

. . . or set on a chest of drawers or dresser.
On a side note, I downloaded picasa again. However this time I unchecked the box “use picasa photo viewer”  I may not be quoting it exactly right. But it’s the screen where it has all the types of photos to look for. jpg, gif, png etc. It did move all my pictures to picasa, but when I open a picture the default program to open it is windows photo viewer. When I wrote this post, I had no problem loading multiple pictures at one time! yay! So, now I have the best of both worlds. I can use picasa to edit photos, AND I can upload photos to Windows Live Writer.
I will be having a fabulous giveaway within the next week. Stay tuned, you won’t want to miss it. This giveaway will be for your more feminine side. 😉

This is absolutely adorable! You could use this to hold embellishments and ribbons in a craft room too. I'll definitely be looking for an old spice rack now. Nice job!

Oh Gail that is so adorable... it would probably make a good magazine holder also... I actually gave one of these back to the person at a garage sale, all I wanted was the bottles... I am sure kicking myself now.

Now that makeover has the WOW factor for sure. I see those spice racks at thrift stores and yard sales but never buy them. Now I'll be looking for them and probably never find them.
