You did a beautiful job on the cabinet. (Thanks for showing the difference of the wax.) I’m going to have to put my frugalness aside and buy some chalk paint. I love that you don’t have to sand or prime with it.

Thanks for directing me to Upcycle – she has some beautiful revamped furniture on there. Will look online for AS paint. Haven’t seen it in our big DIY stores… It’s probably in harrods or something, haha!

We are going to do up Mum's old varnised pine dresser - don't think we sell Annie Sloan paint in the UK but will look again. Some good ideas that some things can be revamped... will send the post to Mum to prove it!

Thats a pretty color I like the cabinet. I’m one thats not in the least bit happy about putting more then one coat of paint on…and I have done a lot of painting and have never done just one coat….that paint would be a keeper.I’m haveing a time leaving comments I have to sign in each time I leave one. Wow, she has a lot personalities! Purple or pink…hmmm. I like the idea of painting the small trim on the front white to match the knobs (which are adorable!). It really is a cute piece, especially for a girls room as a side table.

She’s deLIGHTful!! Thanks for your review of the chalk paints too. I’ve used three colours, on four different projects. I like them, but have not found they cover with just one coat. Using the chalk paint for a second or third coat gets really expensive…much more expensive than a good basecoat of primer. So that’s what I’ll be doing on my next chalk project, just to see if I can make the paint last longer. It is just SOOOO expensive to get here in Canada!!!
