Do you remember the bed I revamped for my nephew?
This is after a couple of coats of paint. He really liked the way it turned out and asked me to revamp a couple of tables for him.
I have had the tables for a few weeks, but the weather has been so bad (cold & snowy) that I hadn’t had the opportunity to sand and prep the tables for paint.
We finally got some sunny weather that allowed me to sand the tables outside, but alas it turned cold and I had to bring the tables in the house for painting.
I used some oops primer I had on both tables. The wood toned table sanded down really well, but the yellow one had me a little nervous about the paint “taking”.
I only used one coat of primer on each table, instead of my normal two coats. I suppose I was just being impatient.
I wish I could say I’m done with these tables. I sure am tired of having them in my living room. The wood toned one soaked up the paint like crazy. I really prefer several “light” coats to one or two heavy coats. Time permitting AND if the sun shines today, I’ll be finished and be able to take some pictures. Meanwhile, tell me what you’ve been working on. Are these gloomy winter days playing havoc with YOUR mood as they are mine? I need Spring to arrive, like YESTERDAY!
