If you’re a regular around these parts you know how much I love my CAMEO. You may also know how much I LOVE chalkboards.
Silhouette has great chalkboard vinyl.
The Silhouette Online Store has great images for sale individually. I purchased and downloaded the 3 way ornate frame for .99 cents.
I “ungrouped” the image and deleted the inner circle because I was not using this as a frame.
When I cut vinyl, I don’t use a mat.
I cut the 3 way ornate frame, weeded the little pieces out and applied it to the wall. Because this was a large piece without any really delicate pieces I didn’t even use any transfer tape.
I love how it turned out! This would be great to leave short messages for your loved ones.
How about a sweet reminder for your little princess?
The chalkboard vinyl erases really nice.
The frosted vinyl is really fun to work with.
One of Jamie’s favorite fonts is Desyrel. Because I was doing this project for one of their engagement photos, the choice of the font was easy.
I loaded the frosted vinyl into the CAMEO, which quickly cut out my phrase.
April 30, 2011 is of course the date these lovebirds tied the knot.
You could do this with a birthdate of a wee one.
Or how about a favorite phrase, or the destination of your best vacation. The options are endless!
How would you use chalkboard or frosted vinyl?

disclosure: Silhouette supplied me with the vinyl, but all opinions are my own. When you use the code REPURPOSED, you help support My Repurposed Life. (thank you)
Thanks Gail I love this project and it’s such a cute shape. I have a bunch of new Silhouette Cameo tutorials on my blog. Please stop by anytime. http://lisabarrie.blogspot.com
That is such a cute picture! I love that they’re holding the frame. SO fun!
Oh I love what you did with the vinyl and the frame. I can’t believe it has already been a year, wow. Cute projects once again!
The extent of my creative life right now is tied up in saop and pigs BUT i love reading your blog. Your brain must be some wonderful eclectic mess inside that skull of yours!(yes, that was a complement)
How wonderful gail! I Love the photo! My a year already, where has the time gone? I so wish I had a Silhouette. Way out of my price range right now. Thanks for sharing though, your projects are awesome!
