We have those same tables (and 2 matching dressers). I loved them when we bought them, but I also hate the dust issue. AND, I’ve since decided I want to brighten things up around here. Glad to see someone try painting them!!

You’re right, that white looks great with the black legs! Great table….I might be weird, but I kinda like your light. Maybe your could spray paint the base oil rubbed bronze?

Thank you for this idea Gail–I am just about to repaint my living room stuff–so sick of the dust showing 24/7. I never though about just doing the top! Also, I bet you are so right on the glossy paint–didn’t think of that either. apparently, I need to start thinking more!

I have a love/hate realtionship with black furniture for the same reasons. We live out in the country and have a long gravel driveway and animals, so dust is ALWAYS a problem! If you get a chance to check out my latest post, there’s a triple dresser I’ve put in my entry that needs some work and I was thinking black or turquoise on the bottom and just staining the top. Let me know what you think. I really value your opinion ’cause you have such great ideas!
