I am a huge fan of the game of Scrabble. In all honesty, I guess you could say I am a recovering Scrabaholic. I like to look for cheap Scrabble Games at thrift stores, perfect for a simple Scrabble Valentine project!

    scrabble game

This game was practically brand new. It may be missing some of the tiles. I did not count them, because I knew I was not going to be playing this game. I already own several Scrabble games.

I painted these tiles with some red craft paint, wiping the paint off as soon as I painted them.

I painted the scrabble tile rack with burnt umber mixed with a little black.

    Easy Scrabble Valentine Decor

If you are short on Scrabble letters you can use the x and the q to separate these words. You can easily use a red paint pen to draw the hearts.

The following pictures look a little different. Can you spot it? They were taken with the same camera, but they look better, don't you think?

Using the letters for Be Mine, and seperating those letters with painted hearts on the back of letter tiles you don't need.

I’m still here, wondering if you figured it out? They are not laying on the little table I used to stage the first couple of  pictures.

I made  a photo light box. I love the way it helps me photograph “smalls”. You should definitely make one if you are an etsy seller!

If you're looking for another easy Scrabble tile project, my friend Susan from Homeroad made some really cute Scrabble tile Christmas ornaments.

Do you love Scrabble? Easy Projects? Break out that game and display some tiles, you can always put them back in the box so you're ready for the next family tournament.

Wow, Gail. Huge difference on the light box photos! They're so bright and no shadows. I'm sharing this post with my daughter who sells her creations on Deviant Art. Thanks for sharing, Cynthia

I know, right! The cardboard lightbox makes a huge difference when you don't have good lighting for those smalls! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment

I love your scrabble valentine decor! I am not very good at scrabble, but if I see a game at the thrift store now I know what to do with it! 🙂

I love scrabble too! My 92 year old gramma still plays, and it's one of my happiest memories of her...sitting around her antique table with pepsi and ice cubes in big brown glasses while we try to get the triple letter score. 🙂

Can't wait to see how you made your light box. I've seen tutorials before, but I've never attempted one. Now that I have a blog, I may do just that!

So cute! My brother in law proposed on a Scrabble board to my sister because it was one of the first things they did together on a date. THey even incorporated a Scrabble board in their wedding pics!
