I paid $1.00 for this framed mirror
I really liked the detail on the frame.
But I didn’t like the gold. I spray painted it with Rustoleum Heirloom White
I found this graphic on the internet. I printed it on some removable sticker paper.
I then used an exacto knife to cut the detail out.
I did not want the “L”, only the cute curly q’s.
I taped off the mirror.
I spray painted the curly q’s with this.
I also printed out a “W” on another sheet of the removable sticky paper
I taped around everything.
I used the frosted spray paint for the “W”.
I put the mirror back into the frame, and glued some paper to give it a more finished look.
I also gave it 4 little feet. Can you tell what the feet are? Those little half marbles that everyone seems to have laying around their house.
I had some somewhere, but couldn’t find them, so I got some from Cathy.
I have since gotten some etching cream, and were I to do this mirrored tray again, would probably use the etching cream instead of the spray paint.
I hope to start the media center next week for my living room. I am altering plans from Ana @ knockoffwood.blogspot.com I hope everyone has a great weekend! We are supposed to get more snow. Sunday night is the big game night! Go Colts!

What an awesome project and you’re right – I have a bunch of those beads bouncing around here somewhere too 🙁
Thanks for visiting my blog! I like your idea for the framed mirror.. it looks great! I’ve been looking for something similar to make a chalkboard for my kitchen. Happy Crafting and keep up the good work!
fantastic!
Looks great! One warning on the etching cream – I did a mirror for xmas for my dad and used it (about 12 letters) just make sure you can take the glass out of the frame. If you can’t it’s so hard to rinse off! Trust me it will cause so much frustration! (just trying to save you some grrrs!)
Very very very nice. It looks really well done.
I love it!
That’s lovely. I just did a similar mirror with the same paint! Great minds think alike.(Only without the initial)
