Kay,

Thanks for stopping by to check out my dresser bench. No, I had no idea about an "end of the bolt" remnant price! Thank you for that tip!

This bench is wonderful! I love that you were able to use the dresser rather than put it in the landfill. Do you know that if you are buying fabric from the end of the bolt and there is more than you need left on the bolt, you can ask for a remnant price on the remainder of the fabric and I have always gotten the lesser price. Make a pillow, or arm covers for chairs or sofas, a plant pot cover, or many other things you can think of.

Thank you for your oh so kind words! I have been redoing furniture since the Spring of 2009. I started blogging about it in July 2009. Sometimes it takes months or even years for a project piece to really speak to me. Other times, I barely get it home and start on it. I would encourage you to not wait on My Furry to do something for you. Start small, or watch him work and learn from him. ;) This didn't happen overnight for me.

good luck to you in anything you attempt

You are so talented and handy and incredible. How long have you been redoing furniture? It takes a great imagination and lots of talent and lots of patience to be able to repurpose a dresser the way you have, love your bench For somebody that doesn't like to sew you did a wonderful job on pillows and especially the cushion. Love the cute fabric, very attractive, what a deal. I'd love to tackle a job like that but Mr.Furry and I have very different ideas, he does what he wants, not what I ask for if can even get him to make things for me anymore. Wish I could do it. You are such a wonder Gail, be proud of what you can do.
Happy week

Thank you so much Wendi for your sweet comment. The thing is, I never really know what is going to happen when I start demolishing a piece of furniture. Many plans end up changing just as the horrible paint job on this dresser bench. My goal is to show you and my readers how I went about changing up this piece so they can tackle their own project. Saving one dresser at a time. heheheh

thanks for pinning!
