I picked up a brass vanity light at the ReStore in Nashville while visiting my grandson a few weeks ago. I got a great deal on it and decided to paint it and repurpose for the backyard camper retreat. I will be adding solar lights, but so far I’m not loving how it’s turning out.
One of the many diy projects done for the backyard makeover is the whiskey barrel lampposts. Having the tiny solar lights surround the fire pit is one of my favorite elements of the backyard. Originally I wanted larger bulbs but I have fallen in love with the tiny solar lights.
I’m using up some old stuff from the backyard as decor for my upcoming new backyard space. I’ll be doing some backyard camping this spring and summer in my own campground! This project uses more of my reclaimed landscape timbers and Dollar Store Solar Lights! I hope you love it as much as I do.
I’m a sentimental sap, with silly attachment to things. I made a landscape timber solar light for my yard out of 25 year old landscape timbers that had my initials carved into it by my husband. As we become grandparents, it’s important to remember that we raised a wonderful daughter who is married and raising a sweet son of their own!

I have a new light fixture in the kitchen-finally! I had called an electrician, and I didn’t expect them until later this week, but they had some extra time and were in the neighborhood on Tuesday. I will need to patch the old hole and paint the ceiling. I hope to do that in the…
