I love all of your creaative uses for old shutters. I wated to try using an operational louvered shutter over my sink as a dish draining rack, do you think it would be sturdy enough?

My favorite of those projects is the shutters you turned into a bookcase. Something about those slats (probably the deep blue color too) reminds me of being at the beach.

Love all your ideas! Thanks for including my shutter shelf in your list, A few weeks ago I made two turquoise ones for someone who saw my shelf at your blog. I have quite a few shutters waiting to be repurposed, I think I’ll make a bookcase next with shutter sides.
