Haven 2012 was so fun and informative. As soon as it was over, I knew I would go back this year. The only complaint I had was the temperature. Many of the rooms were overcrowded, and I thought I was going to melt. This year it is at a different venue, the Buckhead Grand Hyatt, and it looks like a fabulous place for a conference!
As I was looking at the list of speakers, I saw a lot of familiar faces. The schedule is not listed yet, but I already know some of the sessions I will not want to miss. Beckie Farrant is such a whiz at monetizing blogs. She had my head spinning last year. Gina Luker gave me a crash course in Etsy when I saw her a couple of weeks ago in Indianapolis. I know Sandra and Brittany will have lots of DIY know how to share, as will Ana White!
You all know that I truly love Homeright. They have always been so generous in hosting giveaways here at My Repurposed Life. This year I approached them about sponsoring me to Haven Conference, and they agreed. I also suggested that they should get a booth at the vendor’s area at Haven, yep, they will be there. I love hanging out with the vendors and seeing new products. Now I actually get to meet Laura, who I’ve had the pleasure of emailing over the last couple of years. I’m so excited.
I’ve shown you my favorite Homeright product so many times. My beloved CommandMax is now Finish Max Fine Finish HVLP Sprayer–new name same great sprayer. If you do a lot of projects, particularly with spindles (like I do) this sprayer is a must-have in your paint arsenal. The lack of overspray with this little guy is amazing. The bonus? It’s easy to clean!
These are some of my favorite projects that got the Homeright Sprayer treatment. The bench on the top right was absolutely a flawless finish thanks to my CommandMax. A friend was amazed that I could get such a finish using latex paint. It was so smooth. If you’d like to check out these projects, here are the links. DIY Kid’s Corner Bench, Upholstered Twin Headboard Bench, Updated Gossip Bench, Crib Repurposed into Toy Box Bench.
Homeright has a lot of other great products.
I don’t have a deck, but IF I did, I know I’d use this Deck Pro with Gap Wheel Stain Applicator. It looks so fun to use, don’t you think?
From their site:
Simply load the stain applicator pad with stain and cover the surface and gap in one-pass. The Deck Pro Gap Wheel is spring loaded so it drops 3/4" down in-between the boards to stain board edges. The non-sticking Gap Wheel easily moves with applicator and climbs in and out of board gaps, no snagging or getting stuck.
So, if you have painting or home repairs to do and are in the market for some great new products, I hope you give my friends at Homeright a looksee. And, if you’re going to Haven, be sure to stop by the Homeright booth, you might even find me hanging around there.
GREAT news! I just heard from Homeright—you will have a chance to win one of FOUR Finish Max sprayers during my week long Blogapalooza 2013 later this month! Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks!
Disclosure: Although Homeright is sponsoring my attendance to Haven, I have not been compensated for any reviews. ALL opinions and thoughts are my own. I truly love the products and I feel comfortable in recommending them to you.
