Are you getting bored with my vacation pics? 🙂

Sunset in Tortola
Some time over the Summer I picked up a book of Thomas Kinkade prints from Joey at my local Peddler’s Mall. It had very nice glossy pages. I am not a fan of measuring, so I used some notepad paper to center the print on my window.
So, now you know how to save some money. Use white glue instead of Modge Podge,
I am following your instructions on the window and was wondering when does the glue crackle? I applied as you said but it is not cracking. I’m stressed right about now lol I need them to be done in about a week and no crackle as of yet.
Thanks in advance,
~Heather
I had the same question as Angelia. Did the glue leave streaks or how did you get the pictures to stay in? I have a window that I am ready to re-purpose, but doing my research before. Thank you so much for posting! Loved your idea with elmer’s glue! Creative!
Kim,
I glued the pictures to the glass, just like you would decoupage. It was so long ago, I can’t remember if I put any glue on the top of the print but I’m thinking I did.
good luck! have fun!

Hi! I’m a new follower! I just did something similar, only I used an entire door. It has eight panes. I printed out photoshop altered photos of fall leaves to put in the panes but had a hard time figuring out what exactly to attach them with. I ended up using photo mounting squares but they don’t want to stay up. This glue idea is fantastic. Can I ask though, you did glue the pictures in, correct? Does the glue leave smears on the window panes? Or is that just part of the charm? Sorry for the comment on a year old post. I was SO happy to see this while browsing around!
Gail that is just such a clever idea 🙂 and I had no idea you could use elmers glue for a crackle finish! Can I even tell you just how excited I am to try it out! {{giddy smile}} thanks for sharing.
Also, thanks for becomming a follower over at “too Blessed to Stress” so glad you’ll be back for more homemade goodness 🙂
Blessings!

this turned out wonderful! Love it!
I have several windows around here that I could do this on. Great idea, and reversible too. Good thinking.

Holy canoli this is amazing. I’m a TOTAL multi-tasker and my decor has to do the same. This is AWESOME!!!
This looks terrific! Great job!
That turned out WAY better than any of his framed prints I’ve seen in stores! It just needed a junker’s touch, didn’t it?
XO,
Anne
Love those! They turned out great, and what great pictures you have framed now.
Very fun and so CLEVER that you made it reversible! Love that idea.

That was so clever! I am going to have to keep my eyes open for some of those materials. I LOVE how you measure! That really sounds like me! Blessings, Karyn
Oh Gail…how awesome! I was just googling ‘crackling with Elmers’ yesterday, and ended up more confused. I’ll bookmark this post not only for the crackling info, but because i have 2 vintage windows I want to play around with….putting pics in would be great!
