I used to thrift shop, but prices have multiplied faster as my enthusiasm has dwindled. All the inventory is donated so the only expenses would be personnel, rent, insurance, and utilities. I can’t believe those costs have climbed so high to justify the quadrupling or more of prices. Like the old punch line,”I thought it was your adams apple since your nuts are so high.

Great article! I have resold items, DIY’d, and now usually just shop for myself, a stylist, I guess. I love finding new fashions and even if I don’t wear it much, I don’t feel so bad because I didn’t pay very much. Then everything goes back to the thrift store or a yard sale. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on this!
